Zoom is a cloud-based platform for video and audio conferencing, mobile collaboration, and simple online meetings. Zoom's web-based conferencing uses high-quality video and audio and is accessible on Windows, MacOS, iOS and Android mobile devices.

FAES Zoom Hardware Standards
The following items are the recommended hardware approved and supported by CFAES Zoom Services. The IT Service Desk can assist with the use and implementation of the following equipment.
These items can be found on the OSU e-stores on the CDW-G supplier website.
Many staff members have laptops which have built in microphone and camera resources which are sufficient for Zoom meetings and activities.

Single Sign On Instructions
- Open the Zoom client
- Click Sign In
- Click Sign In with SSO
- Under Enter your company domain type osu-cfaes
- Enter your Ohio State credentials

By default all current FAES full-time faculty and Extension educators have a Zoom Pro account. Students and faculty with Emeritus status are limited to a Zoom Basic account. For new hires or for special business cases, you may request an Pro account below.

Zoom can connect to existing H.323 (Polycom) video conferencing systems within CFAES through the use of a Room Connector. Licenses are limited so this service is available by request only.
Zoom allows for the recording of meetings and webinars simply by using your desktop, laptop, or mobile devices in conjunction with a web camera and microphone. All Zoom accounts come with the ability to record locally to your device. Cloud Recording services may be granted to those with a suitable business case. The Webinar feature grants the ability to broadcast to a large group of people. Webinars do not require a web cam or microphone to view and can communicate using the Chat and Q&A functions. To request a Webinar click on the link below
